General theme

The general theme of sustainable food security, “Innovation and Challenges,” addresses the need to transform food systems to ensure the availability, access, utilization, and stability of nutritious and healthy food for all, while integrating sustainable practices and addressing challenges related to climate change, land degradation, and socioeconomic inequalities. Artificial intelligence, applied to food technology, represents a promising tool for improving the performance of agri-food systems by optimizing food production, processing, and distribution.

Objectives of the International Congress

The International Congress “Sustainable Food Security: Innovation and Challenges” serves as a strategic crossroads for scientific knowledge and sustainable innovation. Celebrating the spirit of research and knowledge, this ambitious academic event aims to promote a transformative vision of food security, where scientific excellence meets environmental responsibility. By bringing together researchers, experts, and professionals, the congress aims to boost green biotechnologies, explore circular economy models, stimulate nutritional innovations, and enhance the value of natural resources, while forging interdisciplinary collaborations. The application of Artificial Intelligence in the modernization of food systems enables the prediction of eating behaviors, optimization of the supply chain, quality and safety control, agriculture precision and personalized nutrition.

Topics of interest

Expected presentation formats

  • Oral presentation: 10 minutes allowed. Presentation guidelines: clearly define the topic, presentation objectives, and target audience. Structure the presentation with an introduction, development, and conclusion.

  • Poster: A1 format, portrait orientation.

  • Workshop: workshops will be held in interactive, hands-on sessions. They aim to explore a specific topic in depth through collaborative activities and discussions. They will take place during the second day of the conference. The duration should not exceed half a day.

  • Submission instructions:

    • Proposals should be submitted as a Word or PDF file and should not exceed 200 to 300 words. It is important to adhere to the specific conference guidelines.
    • The proposal should include [list of elements to include, e.g., title, abstract, keywords, brief introduction of the author].

  • Information on registration fees: the registration fee is 8,000.00 DA for lecturers, 4,000.00 DA for doctoral students, and 16,000.00 DA for economic operators.
